What is it?

The JUGMK Academy is designed to be the weapon of choice of the Java User Group Macedonia (JUGMK) when it comes to introducing newbies and Java enthusiasts to the Java world.

So far, by having regular technical meetings in the JUGMK, mostly advanced topics and new bleeding technologies and methodologies were covered through the presentations, making those meetings invaluable for the Java beginners. And since one of the main goals of a JUG is to promote and popularize the Java technologies among fresh IT people, this JUGMK Academy will focus on that part of the JUG objectives.

How exactly the Academy works?

It works by providing mutual benefits to all involved parties in the Academy: Students, Lecturers and Sponsors. Here are the benefits and responsibilities of each of them:

Students - obviously students have the benefit of learning Java the pragmatic way, straight from one of the proven Java experts in Macedonia.

Lecturers - the lecturers are known experts from the Java department of the IT sector in Macedonia, which are members of the JUGMK, but not limited to. They have the opportunity to prove themselves as top-notch professionals in their area of expertise and confirm and expand their skills the most efficient way - by mentoring others.

Sponsors - the sponsors are known companies from Macedonia that are doing Java development. Obviously, by sponsoring (through premises for classes, course material, expertise, equipment, refreshments and financial aid that will go to JUGMK for creating bigger and better conferences), they will be the main engines behind the stimulation of the Java potential in Macedonia.

This means that their deficit for Java developers will be decreased, they will get access to the database with first-hand reviews from the Lecturers about the students that visited one of the courses, and will show that they care about the Java community in our country.
